the DINER Declaration
We hold these truths to be self-evident:
That all men and women are created with equal appetites;
That they are endowed by their Creator with certain
unalienable rights, that among these are:
The right to eat breakfast whenever the heck they please
(like 4 in the morning);
The right to wear running shorts, pajamas,
or last night's clothes to Sunday Brunch;
And...
The right to eat out in D.C. without breaking the bank.

We have been a staple of the Adams Morgan community for 10 years, serving affordable American comfort food that brings back memories of your favorite classics in a friendly setting that is simultaneously up to date and timeless. Fill up with eggs and potatoes, read the paper and discuss the news at the counter over an exceptional, organic cup-o-Joe by Counter Culture Coffee, have a beer and watch a game at the bar, or slide into a booth with your date and share a slice of fresh baked pie or chocolate malt. Enjoy a real American experience in the nation’s capital. Eat at the Diner.

The Diner may be best known busy brunches and as a post bar refueling spot but we’re really family oriented much of the rest of the time. Here are some things we do:
- Our baker makes doggy biscuits and we keep fresh water for the pups outside.
- We have coloring pages for kids and post their work around the Diner counter.
- We have baby changing stations in both mens’ and womens’ restrooms.
And, that's not all...
- We participate in Tap-It free water bottle refills.
- We are powered by Clean Currents wind energy.
- We're a founding memberof Think Local First which promotes an interconnected community of locally-owned businesses who drive sustainable economic development in Washington DC.
