Helping at Sunday Night Supper

By Dave
I helped out serving at one of the Sunday Night Supper events this past Sunday at the home of Terry and Wayne Rusch. The dinners, presented by José Andrés, Joan Nathan and Alice Waters, bring in top area and international chefs to cook dinners to benefit Martha’s Table and DC Central Kitchen.
This dinner was prepared by Ariane Daguin, who started D’Artagnan – a company dedicated to putting the finest sustainable foie gras, meat, game, truffles, and mushrooms on American tables, and Bertrand Chemel Executive Chef at 2941 in Falls Church. Bertrand came up through the ranks working with Daniel Boulud and Michel Gaudin. Ariane brought plenty of wonderful foie gras and truffles and co-hosts Barry and Caren Glassman supplied the wine for each coarse, including the amazing 1988 Chateau Suduiraut Sauterne and 2001 Chateaux Beacastel Chateauneuf du Pape.
Thanks to the hosts and chefs for a wonderful evening of amazing food and drink.
Keep an eye out next year for tickets when they go on sale around New Years.
